You run a gun that weighs hundreds of tonnes, and you do not aim so much as calculate. Orders come in over 2 teletypes, one carrying headquarters' instructions and the other the calls from the front, and you plan from that. Then aerial photos come back so you can see the damage you did. You adjust elevation, charge and shell type, with armour piercing rounds for bunkers, smoke to cover a retreat and even gas. Traversing the turret takes so long you have time to go make a coffee.
