Vertical shmup and the first new entry in the series in 34 years. It is led by Masahiro Yuge, Toaplan founder and creator of the 1988 original, who also composes the soundtrack; his studio is called Tatsujin, which is what Truxton was called in Japan. Art comes from Junya Inoue, author of BTOOOM!. It includes a Story mode with 3 characters told across 18 chapters, Arcade, a Team mode, split-screen co-op and Remote Play Together.
