Stronghold 4

Releases on Monday, Dec 7, 2026

Stronghold 4 is the next main entry in the castle sim series, a story-driven prequel that goes back to medieval England. You follow Penryn of Wethel, a shepherd who ends up leading an army, across a 22-mission campaign. You build your castle, manage food, taxes and honour to keep your people happy, and defend it with moats, traps and tunnelers, while snow slows your crops and rain cuts your archers' range. Made by Firefly Studios, it comes out in early access on 7 December 2026.
