Vertical shmup and the first new entry in the series in thirty-four years. It is led by Masahiro Yuge, Toaplan founder and creator of the 1988 original, who also composes the soundtrack; his studio is called Tatsujin, which is what Truxton was called in Japan. Art comes from Junya Inoue, author of BTOOOM!. It includes a Story mode with three characters told across eighteen chapters, Arcade, a Team mode, split-screen co-op and Remote Play Together.
